User Editable Files

There are numerous files that you can edit using notepad!
Most are the language files in the "lang" folder inside the program's install folder (default: C:\Program Files\Quantum Rift Software\Delayed Startup 2\lang). The other is inside the logged in user's profile folder (default: C:\Program Files\Quantum Rift Software\(Logged In User).

The user's proggroup.c file has the most current instructions for editing it manually, and these instructions should be followed. You should BACKUP this file before editing (just copy it, then rename the copy) BEFORE you edit it - just incase.

Editing the language files is as easy as opening up one, and changing the text. If you're wanting to translate the files into another language you MUST make a copy of all the files ending in ".en" -- even if you don't translate all of it!

Then you have to open the languagefile.dat file, and follow the instructions there. But it's as simple as entering the language name (spelled out), a ",", and the extension for the language files.

If we (Quantum Rift Software) happens to get a set of translated files, we will both include them in future releases/patches, and have them available for download by themself.
